Chroma Scarf

A few weeks ago I released my first free crochet pattern using Lion Brand Mandala yarn.  I loved the Crunching Leaves Mod Scarf so much that I had to sneak one more Mandala pattern in before I go fully into my Seven Days of Scarfie patterns!  The Chroma Scarf has a similar shape to my popular Strawberry Patch Convertible Scarf and I LOVE how simple and quickly this one is to work up.  Keep reading for the free crochet pattern.

The Chroma Scarf has a similar shape to my popular Strawberry Patch Convertible Scarf and I LOVE how simple and quickly this one is to work up.  It takes just one cake of Lion Brand Mandala yarn and will be perfect for gifting around the holidays!  I hope you enjoy my new free crochet pattern.

If you like simple projects this will be a great one for you!  There is a bit of counting at the beginning and end of the scarf (a stitch marker will help!) but the middle is all nice and easy DC stitches.  You can of course use any color of yarn that you'd like, but look at how pretty this Mandala yarn is when it's worked up <3  I am always a sucker for bright colors, but this scarf would look great made in a solid color or neutrals as well if that is more your style!

This is a one cake project, so it'll be perfect for you if you bought some Mandala yarn on impulse (because...PRETTY!) and now you don't know what to do with it.  I also love one skein projects because they travel well, and with the holidays coming up I imagine there will be plenty of road trips and flying happening!  So whether you are making this for yourself or as a gift; sit back, relax and enjoy this new free pattern :)

Supplies:

Abbreviations (written in U.S. terms):

  • st/sts: stitch/stitches
  • ch: chain
  • DC: double crochet
  • DC2Tog: double crochet two together

Gauge

11 sts x 5 rows = 4” square in DC

Finished Size:

Length (without pom poms) = 80"

Pattern Notes

  • ch 2 at the beginning of rows DOES count as a stitch
  • the length of this scarf can be easily adjusted by adding or subtracting rows between Row 27 through 96
  • If you prefer a ch 3 to start your DC rows thats fine.  Work into the 3rd ch as the top of your DC stitch.  Just be consistent throughout the pattern.
